The year 2020 was a special year in many different ways, it threw new challenges at us all by encouraging us to adapt to new work environments, to be creative in finding human connection and ultimately it taught us to turn lemons into lemonade, and to see the silver lining when life just seems a bit colourless. At Gibson’s Goodology, we found other ways to win in 2020 and wanted to share them with you.
Hip and Healthy Awards
Just one month after our official launch, we were named ‘Best CBD Newcomer’ at the Hip and Healthy CBD awards, also the first ever UK CBD awards. Gibson’s Goodology at heart is a wellness drink, which is why we went through a rigorous triple lab testing process and kept our ingredients simple because only the best ingredients create the best drinks. Like our brand, Hip and Healthy inspire their readers to be the best version of themselves, selecting the very best of drinks, skincare, advice and feel-good content in order to inspire readers. To gain this recognition within the wellness market so early on, is an incredible achievement for us, one which we hope to uphold as GG continues to grow over the next few years. Take a look at the editor's notes of our drink below:
“Having just launched in July 2020 with three flavours, Gibson’s Goodolgy has done incredibly when it comes to taste for their CBD drinks. I have enjoyed cracking one of these open at the end of a very busy day juggling work and childcare and it seriously has helped me to wind down and sleep better at night. The Jasmine Tea + Rhubarb is a game-changer. I can’t wait for them to become more widely available”
World Beverage Innovation Awards
The World Beverage Innovation Awards look to celebrate brands currently excelling in their innovation, creativity and originality within the drinks industry. Judged by drinks industry trailblazers, after a lengthy process only the brands that demonstrate true innovation are selected to go through to the final stage. Gibson’s Goodology were selected as finalists for three categories, more than any other brand, additionally we were the only CBD brand included in the entire line up, which is a real achievement.
Although we didn’t come out as number 1 in the three categories, we received a special commendation in the ‘Best RTD (Ready to Drink) Beverage’ category. Being chosen in a line-up against some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Pepsi, William Grant, ABInbev & Sons and Skinny Tonic demonstrates that Gibson’s Goodology is already a small fish in a big pond and is growing momentum and recognition swiftly within the drinks industry.
Independent’s IndyBest Best Buy
Gibson’s Goodology was honoured to join the list of premium brands such as Chanel and world renowned chef Ottelenghi who have won this prestigious award. The Independent’s ‘IndyBest’ 2020 rounded up the best CBD buys of the year, and with 2020 being a year defined by stress and anxiety it's a gift that Gibson’s Goodology came top as the best CBD Drinks product in the UK for relieving stress and balancing your body’s harmony. Here’s what IndyBest writer Claire Dodd said about us:
“Described as a liquid hug by Chief Culture Officer Jenn Hartzler, the Gibson’s Goodology range of tea-based drinks is intended to help make imbibers feel their best. Each are made from just five natural ingredients including tea, fruit, agave syrup, lemon juice, and a generous 25mg water soluble CBD per 250ml can. However, this is a flavour-first brand – there’s no grassy off-notes here. Developed with Oskar Kinberg, drinks book author, mixologist and bar head of Michelin-starred London restaurant Hide, the range includes green tea and passion fruit, a good caffeinated morning pick-me-up, jasmine tea and rhubarb which is recommended as a post-workout recovery drink, and our favourite: shiso tea and blueberry. Beginning with a zesty burst from the shiso and a slight earthiness, the thick mouthfeel and rich colour reminds us somewhat of a grown-up Ribena. Lovely on its own as an evening tipple. Naughtier with a splash of vodka.”
